This beautiful, professional quality electronic saz, handcrafted in Turkey, has 5 metal strings laid out in 2 courses of 2 with a single string between them. Each string has a fine tuning knob at the base of the face. As expected, the action is very low. There are 24 tied nylon frets and 6 tuning pegs, only 5 are used.

The overall length is 42 inches, with a 30.5 inch nut to bridge length. The body is 9 inches wide, by 14.5 inches long, by 9 inches deep, featuring stave construction with a rich colored stain under a high gloss finish. The bridge is unfinished. The hook-up, volume, bass and treble all have independent on-off switches.

The most frequently used tuning, from high to low pitch, is: A D G, where A is a 3-string course.

A soft case is included for protection and storage. String sets and plectrums are sold separately.

Actual weight of the instrument is approximately 3.5 lbs.

*NOTE* Please expect the high gloss finish on the Turkish Saz to show dimples in the light. A perfectly smooth, unblemished finish is nearly impossible to obtain with the technology employed in the 'Old-World' finishing process. These are handmade instruments and such dimples are common and unavoidable.
