This incredible book and CD set are authored by John McGann.

Tuning, left and right hand techniques, hand positions, picking styles and chord voicing are thoroughly discussed. The book contains twenty tunes, covering styles from Irish to American. A variety of tunings, melody and accompaniment are presented in standard notation and tablature, with a stereo CD (left channel melody, right channel accompaniment).

For the first time, the Celtic style "woven texture" accompaniment, unique to this instrument, is fully notated. Unique to this book are melodic Irish ornamentation, blues, jazz and American fiddle tunes with variations and improvisations (all fully notated), and a chapter "Breaking Away From Block Chords," extending your knowledge of the fingerboard.
