Standard Harmonium featuring a fixed keyboard and an integral bellows which together enable dozens of potential sound combinations.
It has just over 3 octaves, 3 drones and 4 stops that direct the air over the upper and lower reeds. Includes two banks of reeds and 39 keys, so each key can activate two reeds.
Accessories Included: Padded soft case.
Harmoniums are not meant to be played in concert like a mini organ. The reeds in the harmonium are tuned to sound well together, not necessarily with other instruments. As such they are not in concert pitch and are not meant to be. As with many Indian instruments, the key for the music is selected to best suit the vocals or to set a mood.
Harmoniums are mainly used as an accompaniment to devotional songs. Although it was invented in France nearly 200 years ago, the harmonium has been extremely popular and strongly embraced by India after it was brought there during the British Occupation.
Actual instrument weight is approximately 19.0 lbs.
Made in India.

Special Note on Finishes: Instrument's finish color and décor may vary from photo. Some of the finishes are very impressionable, no pun intended. During the long journey from India, the finish may become marred with impressions by the packing materials. These impressions are superficial and cosmetic and do not affect the playability or sound quality, therefore we do not consider such impressions as blemishes or defects.
