This is the perfect light weight frame drum for playing all night. It has a thin metal walled frame that is covered with a white natural skin. The head is held on by intricate raw-hide webbing. The webbing is functional as well as decorative.
To achieve the light weight, the frame is very thin. Although sturdy, you may see some warping over time. It may go out of round, but the sound from this 4 inch deep drum will still be warm and wonderful.
Actual instrument weight is approximately 2.0 lbs.
