This instrument is made from mulberry, approximately 8 1/2 inches in length, with 7 holes on the top and a single hole on the bottom.

The Eastern designation of FA corresponds to the Western designation of "Key of F."

The duduk is a traditional woodwind instrument of Armenian origins. It is a double reed instrument which has ancient origins, said to be from 1500 to 3000 years old. Unlike other double-reed instruments, the reed is quite wide, helping to give the duduk its unique, mournful sound.

Reed sizes will vary so for a proper fit use hemp or bee's wax, or sand the reed end to fit.
