Our Deluxe Knob Tipper is 8 inches of Sheesham (Indian Rosewood) with two elongated knob ends, and four wide ridges with grooves. If you have trouble with your tipper slipping in your hand, this is the tipper for you. The ridges and grooves provide great traction. Overall length is approximately 8 inches.
The tipper is swung back and forth against the head of a Bodhran to create lively rhythmic patterns.
The comfort and grip for each tipper is unique. You can also expect different sounds from different styles of tipper. So try a few!
A tipper is also called by other names such as a bone, beater or cipin.
